Kollywood Actress Sneha - New face look as Bhavani

"This is going to be a completely novel experience for me. So far I have done only very feminine roles in films like Sri Ramadasu and Radha Gopalam but in Bhavani, I am playing a very tough character," says Sneha about her new film which is being shot in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously.

She will be dressed in khaki for the first time just as Vijayashanti did in Kartavyam. In fact, this film, Bhavani, is based on the lines of Karthvyam. The well-known actor Kota is playing a major role in the film.

Sneha adds, “When the director narrated the script to me, I could not believe it. At first, I asked him if he was serious about making the film with me or if he was teasing me.

After he confirmed that he wanted to do the film with me, I agreed as I thought it would give me a new image. I am eagerly waiting for the movie’s release to see myself in this new role.”

The director has confirmed that the film is almost complete. “We are planning to release the movie in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously, very soon,” he said.

After ‘Dasavataram’, K.S.Ravikumar is directing a film starring Sarathkumar. Radhika Sarathkumar’s Raddan company is producing this film. Unconfirmed reports say that Sun TV will join hands to producing this film. Busy acting in ‘Aruvadai’, ‘Silambattam’, ‘Pandi’ and ‘Achamundu achamundu’ Sneha has now gone to Malaysia for a song sequence for ‘Pandi’. It is to be noted that Sneha will also be doing a song and dance number for ‘Kuchelan.

Sneha accept the offer of glamour roles

Actress Sneha, who chose to stay away from glamour roles, has finally taken to a skimpy show in her forthcoming release ‘Pandi’.

The movie featuring Ragava Larencce in the lead role is produced by Hithesh Jabhak and is directed by Madhuravan. Namitha and Sneha play the heroines. Ganja Karuppu play the comedian.

The movie went to floors a few months ago. Madhuravan has managed to shoot the entire talkie portion of the movie in a quick time.

He says, 'The climax was shot in Dindigul at a grand set erected at 5 acre of land. A huge statue of Ayyanar was erected and a grand Thiruvizha was set up'.

Both Sneha and Namitha have oozed glamour in the movie. For Ragava Larencce, it is a movie to reckon with in his career, he adds. The movie has music by Srikanth deva and cinematography by Senthil Kumar.

Next Sarathkumar movie with Sneha and Shreya in K.S. Ravikumar Direction

After Vaitheeshwaran, Sarath is all set to start his next movie under the direction of K.S Ravikumar. There were rumours the the movie was Jaggu Bai which was originally planned for Superstar Rajnikanth. However, the circle close to Sarath denied the news on ‘Jaggubhai’, but they confirmed a new project of Sarath with K.S. Ravikumar.

Sneha had already been roped in to play the lead. The current update on the movie is that Shriya Saran has also been roped in to play another heroine in the movie. Shriya has been in news for a lot of reasons lately be it her skimpy dresses, her english movie, her bollywood movie or her slapping a man for misbehaviour recently in Tirupathi.


This Sarath Kumar, Sneha and Shriya starrer movie which is not titled yet is being jointly produced by Radhika Sarath Kumar’s Radaan pictures and Sun TV. It can be recalled that the film Cheran Pandiyan directed by K.S Ravikumar was his first hit and also was Sarath Kumar’s first film as hero. The Sarath-Ravi Kumar pair has also given the super blockbuster Nattami. Lets hope they repeat the success story in this movie too.

Malayalam mega star Mammootty makes his comeback in Tamil with Aruvadai directed by Aravind. The film is bilingual and is named Vande Mataram in Malayalam. Mammootty is paired with Sneha in this bilingual produced by Henry for Pankaj films. The film also stars Arjun as a special branch police officer.

In the film, Mammootty plays an Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer, Gopikrishnan married to an airlines pilot Nandini,played by Sneha.

Their personal life is unhappy as they are childless. Jai Aakash plays the important character of a ASP in the film which has patriotism laced with family sentiments.

Deepak J.D. plays the KD (villain) in this action-family drama. Vidyasagar is the music director and Rajesh Yadav the cameraman. Lyrics are by Vairamuthu, Pa. Vijay and Yugabharathi. The film has been shot in Chennai, Cochin, Marthandam and Kanyakumari.

Sneha alias Suhasini one of the top actress of Southern film industry is a rare blend of beauty and talent. Though her parents hail from Rajamundhry, Andhra Pradesh, Sneha was born in Mumbai and brought up in Dubai. She was spotted by director Fazil in a cultural show in Dubai and recommended her to a Malayalam film director. She debuted with the Malayalam film 'Engane Oru Nila Pakshi' opposite Kunjako Boban (2000).Through the film flopped, she was noticed by directors of Tamil and Telugu industries.

She soon got an offer from Tamil and was paired opposite Prashanth in Susi Ganesan's 'Virumbigiren' (2001) in which she acted without make-up. This was followed by 'Ennavale' (2001) with Madhavan, which bombed at the box-office. But with a charm and grace that one associates with heroines of yesteryears, Sneha played her role with the ease of a veteran. It was the Lingusamy directed 'Aanandam' (2001) that gave her the much-awaited hit and soon she was a name to reckon with in Tamil and Telugu films.

Sneha was hyped as a strong runner for the top slot after she got noticed in films such as 'Punnagai Desam' and 'Pammal K Sambandam' (2002). But her films like 'Paarthale Paravasam', 'Yeh Nee Romba Azhaga Irrukey' and 'King' did not do too well at the box-office.
