Kollywood film Vikram's Kandasamy launched with stunning deed

It was in 1975, mega-starrer flick Sholay hit the screens and now Kandasamy has hit the floors. You may wonder, what’s the connection between these films? While making Sholay, the entire cast and crew of this film opted to shoot the film in a remote village located in the deep roots of Karnataka named Ramanagaram. Finally after shooting the film, they came forward to support the village for the development. Now after three decades, the Kandasamy unit has come up with the work and has adopted two villages named Gandhinagar and Salingapetti located near Usilampetti.

Speaking to the occasion of the launch of Kandasamy, Director Susi Ganesh said that making a film with good message is not a success, but making them in reality is the essence of real victory. Producer Kalaipuli S Dhaanu joining in hands with Director Susi Ganesh and Vikram have done their contributions to the betterment of the residents of these villages.

Eros International has signed Kajol opposite husband Ajay Devgan for TOONPUR KA SUPER HERO, a 3D film with animation. The film marks Erosâ€™ second production with the husband-wife duo after YOU, ME AND HUM.

Directed by ad film maker Kireet Khurana, TOONPUR KA SUPER HERO tells the story of a reel-life hero accidentally landing in a world of cartoons and transforming into a real-life hero. The film will have Ajay Devgan playing himself.

Kollywood film's Shooting for Azhagiya Tamizh Magan completed

More than his fans, Vijay himself was thrilled about the release of his upcoming flick Azhagiya Tamizh Magan. Despites starring in 40 films, Vijay says that this film is of a different storyline with an exceptional storyline.

Major portion of the shooting for film has been completed excluding the remix song sequence of â€˜Ponmagal Vandhaalâ€™ from the film Sivaji Ganeshan starrer â€˜Sorgamâ€™. The music has been remixed by A.R.Rahman and Director Bharathan has put up grand sets at Chennai Film City to shoot this song. Reports are that Russian beauty models will also be dancing along with Vijay and Shriya Charan in the song.

With this song, the shooting will be completed and post-production will be soon finished. Vijay performs the role of Guru who possesses the gift of foreseeing the future and buzzes are that it is a remake of a Malayalam flick titled Iyer The Great starring Mammooty and Geetha in the lead role.

The film is expected to hit the screens on the occasion of Diwali along with many great films like Bheema, Kaalai, etc.

Chak De India has still to break the $1m barrier in the UK while Heyy Babyy is nearing $1.5m. Super Star Rajinikanth film's Sivaji 100th Day in U.S.A

The only Indian film so far which has been able to cross 100 days of successful running in USA is Rajini’s Shivaji .Shivaji, the utmost budget film in the history of Indian cinema was released in nearly 40 countries worldwide with more than 800 prints. The Tamil version of Shivaji was released in 44 centers in US and Canada and witnessed historical collections. In the UK, Shivaji is the first Tamil film which got a place in the UK top -10 movie chart, and has also set a new collection record. Now the film is celebrating its 100th day across the globe. In Canada, Shivaji was initially screened in 6 theaters and it is still running in Scarborough. Apart from Scarborough, there are 5 more theaters screening Shivaji as a regular show during the weekends. It is a very strange experience for the residents of Toronto to see a Tamil film running for 100 days continuously.

According to Ayngaran International, the worldwide distributors of Shivaji, the film is still running in 12 screens in Srilanka, drawing a good number of people. In Singapore, the film is celebrating 100 days in 2 screens. The film has celebrated 100 days in 90 theaters in Tamil Nadu. The film crossed 100 days in 10 theaters in Chennai and 13 theatres in sub-urbs. Shivaji is still running in 3 theatres in Bangalore and in one theatre in Mysore. ARORA theatre in Mumbai as also celebrated the 100 th day.

People Expectation - Kollywoood Actor Universal Hero Kamalhassan's Dasaavatharam Audio Lanuches

The movie is nearly complete, except a single song. The film comprises six songs tuned by the Bollywood music maestro Himesh Reshammiya. Shruthi Haasan, daughter of Kamal Haasan has also sung for this film.

If everything goes on as planned, and the shooting wrapped up soon, then ‘Dasavatharam’ may have a grand audio launch in October. The producer expects to launch the music on a grand scale. The post-production of the film will start in full swing after completing the last song.

Kamal has already started the dubbing process and is making his characters livelier. The graphics part is also being done on a brisk pace. And if all the work is completed on the predetermined date then the movie has a good chance to make it for Pongal.

Hot Bollywood Nanhe Jaisalmer Movie - review

The current craze for stars and how a fan’s star-worship can develop into an all-consuming obsession was a terrific idea for a film. Hrishikesh Mukherjee had examined the phenomenon when it hadn’t even reached today’s virulent stage in Guddi (1971).

Samir Karnik’s Nanhe Jaisalmer picked the idea, but frittered away its potential on a vacuous melodrama with a ‘literacy-for-all’ message.With a faint resemblance to Lage Raho Munnabhai, Karnik develops the story of Nanhe (Dwij Yadav), a chirpy 11-year-old tourist guide in Rajasthan, whose one encounter with Bobby Deol results in the belief that the star is his friend.Illiterate himself, he dictates long letters to his sister and watches the star’s films. When told of a newspaper report that Bobby Deol is going to be shooting in Jaisalmer, he goes berserk with excitement. Then Bobby arrives and Nanhe’s dreams come true. The fantasy world he has created around the star results in some moments of warmth, but of course it is too good to be true. Problem is that the film remains one-dimensional and tends to get repetitive. The end drags too. Dwij Yadav is energetic, Bobby Deol is charming but the film’s as bumpy as a camel ride in the desert.
